Enquiring about R Process working,

Girija

Dear Group,

I have a doubt to be clarified regarding deployment of 52N WPS. if a R script is registerd wid the server and R repository is activated then even if a user who doesn't hav R Installed locally will be able to access the process? Or is it that user jus must activate R repository and then all processes work without the need of R?
if processes need R to be installed locally then whats the point of using web services?
Im slightly confused and will be greatly obliged with your response sir.
awaiting your reply.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot for the response sir.
Now, the user just need to activate R repository and the processes registered will be displayed by the server and then he can request for the process to execute without R in local system and all the back-end connections right?

Re: Enquiring about R Process working,

Yes. R should be installed locally in the server. But user can access the wps service through browser from any system which need not to have any software installed.
